You have reached the online location of the Henry George Birthplace Archives Center and Museum, a project of the Henry George School of Social Science, 121 East 30th Street in New York City.

The Henry George School of Social Science was established in New York in 1932, and over the next several decades extensions and affiliated schools were organized all across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, the Dominican Republic and in several other countries.

The philosopher John Dewey served as the school's first Honorary President, and many other notable figures have been associated with the school throughout its history. Read what John Dewey wrote in 1927 -- An Appreciation of Henry George.
